Adopt a Shelter Pet from Humane Society of Morgan County
Rescue a pet in need! All of our adoptable cats and dogs are looking for homes to call their own, and every one of them deserves a chance. Please take your time looking at our available pets, all of them are anxiously waiting to meet you. All of our animals are adopted as INSIDE, family pets only, unless otherwise specified. We do not adopt our cats out as outdoor only or barn cats. We do not adopt our dogs out as primarily protection, attack or outdoor only dogs. If you have any questions or concerns regarding our policy, please email us at[email protected]
Available Pets – You are encouraged to come to the Humane Society of Morgan County to meet and interact with all of our available dogs and cats. We do our best to keep Petfinder, RescueMe and our Facebook page up to date with our adoptable, but sometimes our residents get adopted before we have an opportunity to post them on any of the rescue sites. We encourage everyone to submit an APPLICATION as our application process does take between 3-5 days. Once approved the application remains valid for 90 days and is good toward any cat or dog, based on application, available at time of adoption.
If you live nearby, just come on down during our Hours of Operation to say hello and allow us to introduce you to our residents. If you live outside our local area, let us know what your ideal pet is. Our skilled adoption counselors will help guide you through the process of choosing the ideal pet for you. Our goal is to match the best family with our rescue pets.
Long Time Residents – Unfortunately we have many dogs and cats who get passed by…no fault of their own. We know that the perfect family awaits these adoptable dogs and cats as well. Please take a moment to read their bios to see if you just so happen to be their forever family.
Adoption Information – Learn about our adoption process and how to best find your ideal family fur member. All of our available cats and dogs are spayed/neutered (fixed), micro chipped, up to date on vaccinations, heart worm negative (unless otherwise specified) and on heart worm preventative.
If you’re not quite ready to adopt—consider becoming a SPONSOR, FOSTER, or VOLUNTEER. It’s fun, rewarding and somebody here needs you.
